The guide rod is known to dismember and fly forward without warning. To me the Kimber is infinitely more attractive.The micro 9 is a great CCW gun. Personally I would get a version with front-strap checkering like the CDP. It greatly helps control when your hands are sweaty. I shoot tighter groups with that than compared to a Kahr PM9. A Sig P938 is just as good too. The base plastic needs to be trimmed in order to fit the Micro 9. The 6 round Sig P938 mags are interchangeable and readily available. I spoke to Kimber about Micro 9 magazine availability and they said currently they are holding mags for guns in production, but will have availability shortly (shortly is an unknown timeline)..
